I am new too the area and looking for some amateur tours too look into and join.  I live in the south east area of metro Detroit.  I have a handicap index of 21.5, so not really interested in something that is very competitive, but fun.  Look forward hearing some suggestions.  Thank you very much.

I also live in SE Michigan and I have never heard of amateur tours in our area. There are tournaments for higher handicap golfers like you and I once in a while. You may want to contact the Michigan PGA who may be more helpful.

You can look into joining a golf league at a local course. These are plentiful in our area.

Thank you for your response. I have heard about the golf week amateur tour or the golf channel AM tour. Just didn't know if anyone has any reviews about those types of tours or not. I have also heard about the michigan publinx tour and the michigan bogey tour. If anyone had any reviews about any of those tours, and would be greatly appreciated. Thank again.

Do yourself a favor and check out the Golfweek AM tour. You will get better and enjoy yourself and really learn the game and get more out of it.I play in NC and my tour director is the one who created the whole nationwide tour.

Again, thank you all for your responses.  I will for sure look into all of those amateurs.  IF anyone else has anymore suggestions, I will take all comers.  thanks again.
