Weird stat… "Inside 100 yards"? How many players were tested? How many shots?

Inside 100 yards could have huge fluctuations if one group hit from an average of 74 yards while another group from 62 yards, on average.

Here's to hoping the numbers are "hundreds of golfers, thousands of shots" for each segment.

I agree... seems like too large of a range.    When I think of getting "up and down" - it's more pitching and chipping for me, from say 40 yards and in.    100 yards involves full shots, which doesn't compute in terms of getting up and down...

Furthermore ... from say 80-100yds, getting up and down means getting a birdie.    For most of us, getting it on the green from that distance is the goal and then 2 putting for par.    Thinking about getting "Up and Down" should be from 40-50 yds and in ... the whole premise of this involving full wedge shots is flawed IMHO

Depends upon the length of the course, and the conditions.

I don't know… why?

What is the percentage of up and down from just off the green....from rough vs. from fairway?

I'm a 16 handicap, I'm happy with a chip and two putt...

    • Wow, largest ever 36-hole lead at the Masters. Seems good. I don't really have much to add, but I'm having a great time nursing a cold by watching this tournament.  I doubt Rory fumbles this one, but you never know. As a fan, I hope he can close this out with two rounds to go.  I saw a funny comment somewhere where someone said Bryson should try to 3D print himself a green jacket.
    • Day 234 4-10 Blending hip/chest rotation backswing work and wrist arch in downswing. Pause at the top and slower swing. Recorded and hit foam balls.
    • Day 2, April 10 2026.  After watching today's excellent Masters broadcast, I have hit 18 balls, one at a time, each after doing the pelvis limiting drill.
    • Day 33 (10 Apr 26) - Played in the club Friday shootout with a slight twist as the course was setup for tomorrow’s local “Masters” one day tournament.  The pins were in some slippery places and the greens firm and bouncy.  Overall made for staying the process all the more important especially on the greens.
    • Rory up by six - makes me wonder if the powers that be will adjust Augusta’s moving day setup to be uber tough or uber getable to get a few closer.
