I know that most of TST universe, plays bigger OEMs like Callaway, Taylormade, Adams, Ping, etc... I was wondering if anyone out there has demoed the new TourEdge Hot Launch line... Reading the literature on it, they seem like that they are more forgiving and hit the ball farther... I'm getting older, I need back surgery and I don't hit the ball like I used to... so I was thinking maybe... getting a whole bag make-over with something more forgiving... (You really can't beat $1,000 to overhaul with brand new quality clubs, beats the he'll out of spending probably $2,200 on the Exotics E8) So basically in so many words, has anyone demoed these clubs yet, and if so, do they live up to the hype?

I just purchased TE Exotics CB Pro h irons.  Haven't played them yet, other than hit balls into a net, but I love the look of them.

I've had previous experience with the Tour Edge line.

I played the TE low-profile Bazooka Beta-Ti fairway woods (3W and 5W) from 2002 to 2008. Came with Grafalloy SuperLite stiff shafts. Low-profile heads launched the ball well. I dropped them in 2009 as I went back to Regular flex shafts.

And, since May 2013, I have played the Tour Edge XRail 4W and 7W. Ball doesn't go quite as far as with the RBZ I tried for a painful season, but XRail is much more reliable and easy to control.

As far as Hot Launch, I'll probably have to wait until early May for the local demo day which draws the Tour Edge guys.

I have some TE heads. Wanted to love them but too much offset for me. Getting ready to replace my fairways with TE hybrids. I would condider the HL if they had a 2 but site say 3 is it.

The E8 line might have a 2-hybrid

I play with Tour Edge equipment. They are as good as anything else on the market, and the service after the sale is probably the best in the business.

It does but I bought new old stock XCG-6 2-4 hybrids on eBay. Had them in my watch list for months so pulled the trigger. I have tried this head before so comfortable buying on-line.

Love seeing Geek represented. I've played them all at one time or another and still have the 1st DotComThis driver that I bought from Mr. Almo in 2007 iirc. Longest I've owned any driver ever. I just got a special 1 off Geek head that I'll be shafting up real soon.

    • To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
