But where and when did he say these illuminating truths? Apparently not in the interview according to those who took the time to listen (not I, I must admit).

I read the quote and the article from the OP. Whatever, it's what alot of people think.

Amazing that he can hit hundreds of balls and tear it up in practice, with no mention of pain, according to his "insiders" and Notah "Sock Puppet" Begay. This whole thing is a joke.

Maybe with all the doubters, It will motivate Tiger to play well, next week... I'm not necessarily saying he'll win... but it's funny what little things like this do to motivate Tiger...

So Dimarco called tiger out, big deal, it's likely true, what's to be gained by Demarco to lie? What's the alternative to believe Notah on the same issue if he clarified it?

Those of you in Tigers camp on this call out.......do you also believe Rory's story about his root canal when he withdrew after playing badly?

Rory came out and basically said "Sorry, I screwed up" for that one. Every time Tiger has been accused of faking, he's wound up having surgery or a long layoff. Unless he's George Costanza-esque in his commitment to the lie, I don't really have reason to doubt him.

The fact that it happened with one of the top athletes in the sport makes it a plausible explanation each time a golfer calls it quits while he is not playing well. Not necessarily the case, but a possibility. I also wouldn't call this last stint on the bench for Tiger a long one, nor did we hear of any surgeries he had undergone in this time period. Actually we have been hearing of him lightening it up and shooting scores that are impressive even for pros.. All of that put aside, if he comes out and has a bad round and then WD expect all of these allegations to rear their ugly head again.

Lots of things are possible . But that doesn't mean it's likely enough to speculate on absent further evidence, of which DiMarco doesn't seem to have any.

I don't know; I'd call 2 months during his historical busy period a pretty long stretch. And from the looks of it, it'd have been longer if not for the Masters scheduling forcing his hand a bit.

In any event, Tiger's played enough lousy rounds this past year that I don't know that I'd jump to "malingering" if he were to withdraw. He shot an 82 at Phoenix, blading chips and otherwise looking like a hacker, and finished out. Same with rounds of 78 and 79 prior to his surgery. He was, what, 2 over at Torrey when he WDed? It was like the same score Mickelson was shooting. Considering his physical demeanor and the knowledge of his past injury, I just don't have any reason whatsoever to be suspicious.
