I've been working on my takeaway a lot recently and noticed I'm looking away from the ball and looking at the club head out the corner of my eye to male sure it's not coming inside. Been hitting a little bit thin so could this be a reason why? My thoughts are it could be if I'm rushing to get back to the right position.

hitting it thin could be an elevator mouvement up and down or a forced and therefore early release, on a hitting by pushing swing instead of pulling and wiping mouvement and probably many other possibilities.

my guess is that any range pro can help you a lot.

I would guess it's something else unless you're actually turning your head away from the ball to where you're not looking "down" anymore. Or since you're changing things it's just a bit of an adjustment period. You said takeaway (A1-2) so it's fine to "see" the movement of the club on the first half of the takeaway.

If you normally take it too far in, the "correct" position will probably look like the club and shaft are working up and out.
