Hey folks, changing my wedges been a cleveland man for years had cg10s and upgraded to cg11s last season but really dont think the feel as solid on contact as the cg10s were, so considering the cg12s or 14s, Nike TWs or Titleist Vokey Spin Milled wedges, would love to hear users opinions and reviews if they play with any of the wedges mentioned :)

Which wedges are you looking at getting, not like what company, but what lofts. I know that the TW's only come in 56* SW and 60* LW. If you really want 's then look at the SV Tours. I have tried the CG12's and they felt amazing. I have never tried the Titleist SM's, but I think almost everybody here on this forum wants them because they feel so amazing. Hope this helps and good luck.

Here's what I play:

Titleist 907 D2 10.5* UST ProForce V2 76-S | Titleist 906F4 18.5* Aldila VS Proto "By You" 80-S | Titleist 585H 21* Aldila VS Proto "By You" 80-S | Titleist ZB 4-PW TTDG S300 | Bob Vokey Spin Milled Oil Can 54.10 | Bob Vokey Spin Milled Oil Can 60.08 | Scotty Cameron Red X5 33" |

Hey, not on your list...but definetly look into the TM TP's, or racs.

they are beautiful wedges, and they resemble my 588, but with a ease of play about 'em, dont need to try and spin, they just do.. definetly look into them, but if not, i think the vokeys are probobly te best wedges around right now...

Well I have 3 wedges.. The Maltby M Forged, Cleveland CG14, and the Titleist Vokey 260.08..

Overall, I would say the Clevelands are the best.. When it comes to hitting from the rough, it destroys the others. As for the fairway, the Maltby's the best and the Vokey was slightly better than the Clevelands. I got the Cleveland instead of the Vokey SM because I heard that the Zip grooves don't shred up the ball and that it's better from the rough. I never tried the 12's but the cg14's are more forgiving, from what I've heard.. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the wedges you mentioned, so in the end, I'd go with the one that feels/looks nice, since that will help your confidence.

Hey folks, to be honest ive always had 4 wedges in my bag PW, GW-52, SW-56, LW-60, really like the look of the CG14s but not sure on this insert business on the back of them, i think thats why i dont like the cg11s because they have the cut out on the back with the CG logo on them maybe thats why i feel i dont get as solid a contact, i defo dont hit them as far as i did the cg10s.

Just seem to be reading review after review on wedges and the best of the best seem to be cleveland, titleist and nike closely followed by callaways and taylormades.

Ideally looking for something that will give me solid feeling contact on full wedge approach shots but retain that great feel about the greens, spinning the ball isnt a problem i seem to be able to do this with 6-pw anyway.

Any further comments warmly recieved :)

I just put my 588 gunmetals back in the bag. I had bought Vokey SM's to replace them, and while they do an incredible job of stopping the ball, from anywhere, they just never felt right to me. On fullswing shots, my 588's stop dead, maybe come back a few feet, the SM's have at times sucked right off the front green. Does it happen all the time? No, but that's another issue I have is that my results with those wedges aren't as consistent. The Cleveland's also feel heavier in the clubhead to me, which I like in a wedge.

IMO, you either like the look of the Cleveland, or the look of the Vokey. All others wedges are in some way similar to these two. I personally think the Callaway is an excellent wedge and I wish they made more lofts in LH, designed by Roger Cleveland so I bet you know why I like them. I think the biggest one you've missed in your serach though is Mizuno. They are incredible wedges, forged instead of cast, and come in two versions, the MPT (teardrop shape) and MPR (round). The MPR series also comes with a sole grind that you'd have to pay extra for on most other wedges.

I use the Titleist Vokey Spin Milled wedges. I haven't tried a wedge that sets up to my eye better, or performs any better.
