If you're interested in writing for The Sand Trap .com, email me and let me know. We have an opening or two as I write this (though in six months when this post is still here, we may not).

Writers are expected to write 3-4 stories/week. We've also gotten a surprising amount of free stuff for review, so there's that perk too. And some day soon we'd like to get some sponsors: writers will get an equal cut of that. Plus, you get your own @thesandtrap.com email address.

Email me if you're interested. It's really quite easy. Familiarity with Ecto (for Windows or Mac) and blogging is a plus.

Still have an opening or two. We're just about to try to get some sponsors and to do some exciting things. If you love the game of golf and think that the blog could be something big, by all means let me know: email erik@thesandtrap.com or PM me here.

My own personal blog ( NSLog(); ) netted me a book deal this year. I've run sites before that made $30,000/year (granted, that was during the dot com era) for having one banner ad on the site!

Anyway, that's the deal. 3-4 stories/week take about two hours to write. You get a free copy of Ecto, you get an equal split of any income we make from the site, you get an @thesandtrap.com email address, you become a moderator on the forum, and so forth.

Groupies? Can't promise those just yet, but you never know. Email or PM me if you're interested.

I'm giving this one a bump - we still have a slot open for someone with time to give, and we've got some good contacts in the industry.

Contact me via email or AIM (or, if you must, PM here on the message board).

I would definitely be interested in something like this if time constraints all work out right for me. Is there some place I can look to see exactly what things I would be doing? That way I can get a better grasp on whether or not I could help out.

I really think this site looks very professional, and I would like to do some writing or something in that nature.

Just email me or I can email you, either way.

Thanks,

Cody Thrasher

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
