I was listening to Jason Day's press conference

https://sg.screen.yahoo.com/jason-day-news-conference-tour-153019054.html

He was asked what keeps him motivated. It was basically, just trying to get better. Enjoying the process of getting better. You got to love to improve.

I know some people say that you have to embrace the process. Really any sort of doubt or apathy for the process will kill results. Maybe it's just not seeing results. I think this is an important topic for golfers who really want to improve. I know a lot of people love to just play golf. In the end to really get better you have to want and like to improve.

@saevel25 , this part piqued my interest too. Imho, this is a better way to go about it than 10K hours, just logging hours, can fall into pattern of not really thinking about where you're going and not focusing on process/results. I also thought it was funny how he said he worked on parts of his game that 'sucked'. That's all relative, I'd like to attain his level of suck.

lol, true enough. When you are fighting for the smallest gains in strokes gained it is all relative.

I enjoy practice. I enjoy the process of getting better.

Just don't enjoy it too much or this thread will apply.
