Shot 79 today and lucky to get it. Gusty winds in the 25mph range and wet fairways. Seems like I either hit fat iron shots or thin ones. Got away with most of the thin ones and had some decent long putts. But beat the heck out of staying indoors.

I tried to brave the cold a few weeks ago but couldn't handle the rain that started when I was on #8. Shot a 40 on the front before heading home.

Beautiful weather today. Sunny, little wind and temps close to 60. Course still muddy so my group playing it lift, clean and place. Shot an even par 72 with 4 birdies and 4 bogeys. Best round of the year.

snuck out of work early for a quick 9 shot 40 with 20 putts (yes thats right 20 putts thats not a typo) hit the ball fantastic the course was very dry all over with lots of run except the greens which were very slow, it took me till the 8th to not leave a putt well short... oh well was better than work

325 yard drive as witnessed and confirmed by the other 3 players on a 354 yard par 4. It was in 2" rough in front and to the left of the green. Was so excited about the drive that I had a terrible 2nd shot and walked away with a par.

No golf the last 2 days. Rained yesterday and cold today. But I did do something productive this morning, changed the grips on my irons. Feel pretty good too. I'll give them a try Monday as the temps look like they will be back in the mid 50's.

89 at TaoYuen Golf and Country club in Taiwan. It's a lot longer (+7,200 yards par 73 from blue tees) than the typical blue tees I am used to in the US.

    • Day 566, May 21, 2024 Six-iron swings in the back yard. Felt good. It's hot here, though.
    • Yep. It’s easy to get distracted during the day and hardly drink any water. Our bodies do not have a good systems to warn us early enough. Some tips I like. Drink 16+ ounces of water when you wake up. The body can lose 1-2 lbs of water weight overnight. You are already in the red. If you know you are going to work out, or even walking 9 holes of golf. Drink water before hand and during the exertion. I was curious once, I did a 40 ish minute workout and I lost about 5 lbs of water weight. That is 80 ounces of water I need to replenish. Now I try to drink 24-36 ounces beforehand.  Aim for half an ounce of fluid, per pound of bodyweight, per day. Note, this is baseline not taking into account exercise or strenuous activity. Also, if you eat non processed foods, you can get a good amount through diet. If you eat processed foods, you need to drink more during the day.
    • Anyone in the group play tennis and interested in playing some tennis this weekend while we are away on recreation?  @StuM I messaged you about hotel accommodations please let me know what you can do.
    • That's kind of what I thought.  The ap maybe fine, but Shotscope is so inexpensive and works really well. I'm surprised more golfers don't use it.
    • Me too. I tend to drink no less than 64 oz in the winter time. In the summer at least twice that.  I'm prone to cramping and cramping sucks. So, I drink plenty of water. BTW - I've become increasingly prone to cramping as I've aged. Aging sucks also.    Huh?  I'd love to know where you got this information. Did you ask your dog?  I'm not sure if I like or dislike the taste of water. It's water. It's one of the things that makes life on Earth possible.
