The worst 88 (69.7)/128) I've ever shot in my life. Aside from one chip in and one good drive, every single moment was just difficult. Even my pars felt like let-downs because I couldn't get in any kind of groove. I felt like I was going to break 100, but at the turn and after the 18th, I added up my score... and I had to add them up again because I swear I'd miscounted.

That'll teach me for skipping the driving range last week.

Total choke job.. 31-41=72 I was on fire on the front and was 1 inch away from a hole in one. The back side was obviously a different story.

We finally got to make up our final league round yesterday and it was a disapointing end to a frustrating year.

First the disapointing part. I played like crap and shot my worst round in over 3 years. Even with that I still only lost by 4 shots NET to my opponent as he kept trying to give it away to me. My wife did her part and played a solid round.

Now the frustrating part. Even if we had taken all 6 points (2 mens net, 2 womens net, 2 totals net) we would have still finished 2nd overall. My frustration got the best of me a couple weeks ago and I slapped at a 2 foot putt for bogey and missed. It would have given me a split with my opponent and would of put us one point back in 2nd place. We would have been able to play the 1st place team head-to-head, instead of having to rely on someone else to split with them so we could win. I can say with 100% certainty that I would have played much better if I was playing in the championship match. I had what felt like an "I don't care" attitude instead of the kind of focus I would have brought to a match with a guy I don't like. Oh well, I have nobody to blame but myself.

Shot 74 on Saturday. That's my best yet. Shot a 38 (2 over) on the front and a 36 (2 over) on the back. Shot 76 on the Wednesday before, so I'm really stoked to have two rounds in the 70's in one week.

Went out and played 6 holes at twilight with my wife last night. It was her first time on a full size course. We just planned on going to the range, but when we showed up I was like we could just go out and play, and she agreed. She did really well for her first time out.

I was 6 over through 6 holes. Bogey golf is my goal right now, and I'm doing pretty well at keeping it at steady bogeys - 1 par, 4 bogeys, 1 double.

My wrist has STILL been bothering me so I went to the doctor and he said I had a mild case of tendinitis in my left wrist. He suggested putting a splint on while I sleep and the pain has lessened.

Went out solo this morning. Had an awful front nine, 48. The back nine was a bit better, 42. Was slicing every shot with a club greater than a 5 iron.

I shot 83 today. 43(+6) out and 40(+5) in. Not bad at all. really windy conditioons and everything was playing about as far back as they could get it. ie: green tees = competition tees. That raises the usual length by about 400 yards!

Made two birdies and had a lip out for what would have been my first ever eagle, at the 12th, par 5 546 yards. Played straight downwind at the tee and the landing area is downhill slope ( it plays along the side of quite a steep hill ) so I had about a 320 yard drive! Put three wood 230 ish yards to the centre of the green and then lip out from 25-30 feet. Hole of the day.

Today was bad weather and the course really wet (i wanted to play a "ranked round" so i talked with the guys in the office if we could decide later if we count the round towards my handicap or not) - problem was the guy said he only had about 2 1/2hours.

What made it worse was the fact that beside the bad weather a lot of flights with seniors where underway for a tourney.

After the 12th hole we had to stop cuz this guy had to leave for his girlfriend!!!! - he left me there with what could have been my best round ever so far, 8 pars, 3 bogeys and a triple bogey. Til this point i already had 2 strokes shaved off my hcp - and he left. Somehow i hate him now...

played 2 matches at the same course yesterday and today.
yesterday i played terribly (was playing the course for the first time as well) and shot a 10 over 46

today was interesting.
hole 1:+2
hole 2:+3
"screw this, i just need to chill cause my score is already dead."
hole 3: my 2.5 foot par putt was inches away: +1
hole 4:0
hole 5:0
hole 6:0
hole 7:0
hole 8:0
hole 9:0
total: +6
it's amazing how much your mentality and confidence affects your playing. i hit every green from 3-9 except number 8 but i still made the 25-30 footer for par

Gotta post the bad scores too...
50 yesterday afternoon at Fitzsimons . It wasn't going great, but it wasn't absolutely horrible until I stepped up to the 9th tee box.

167 yd. par 3. 1st tee shot - big hook OB, probably hit the club house.
2nd tee shot - 40 yd. dribbler, settles right behind a huge tree, unplayable. I have no idea what happened on that one, other than I just teed it up, stepped up, and hit it - no pre-shot routine, totally rushed - once again I should learn my lesson to take my time, go through my routine, and play one shot at a time.
3rd tee shot (hitting 5), not great, but in play, just short of the green, play a nice chip to about 4 feet and get up-and-down for a 7.

5 bogeys, 3 doubles, 1 quad. My putting is absolutely horrible right now, and I have no confidence whatsoever. I also made a few mental / course management errors worth about 2-3 strokes.

I'll introduce myself in the other page when I can start new threads, but I shot a 6 over 42 at Seattle Golf Club today.

Could have been a lot better! I play this course a lot and I had two 3-putts. I also double bogied both of the par 5's which is just stupid.

Oh well... shot of the day was on the first hole, was under a tree on the right hand about 150 from the elevated green. Had to keep low to start but then get it up in a hurry to get over and through a narrow gap in some trees. Hit a hooded, chopped 9-iron and put it 15' from the cup. Almost sank the put too... always nice to have a tap in par after a crappy tee shot on #1.

Played 18 yesterday & struggled to shoot a 94, last week on the same course I had an 85. Couldn't chip at all, had 3 holes in a row where it took me 3 short chips to get on the green, one of those holes was in some ultra loose sand & I just spaced out. Really sucks that 3 holes accounted for 6 shots that I shouldn't have made but did.

Today I played 9 with a work partner on a course that's on the side of a mountain & getting the ball to actually sit on the fairways & not roll down is not easy. Best previous score at this course was a 50, I had a 48 today with 1 birdie. Nailed the par 3 9th hole with my 8 iron & the ball 1 hopped on the green about 3' in front of the pin & rolled just missing the cup by inches. it ended up being about a 7' birdie attempt & for once I didn't choke & sank the putt.

Today I played 9 at my country club. I shot a 43 which is probably the best I've shot there. Would have done better but I shot a triple bogey on one so that pretty much messed up the rest of my score.
