If I could only control my backswing length by the hour hand on a clock while doing all those other things.

Someone needs to read the posture thread :)

Do PGA Tour players create notes on feels? I think Ben Hogan had journals on his golf swing so he could go back and look at them. I might be wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that Hogan did this. Maybe it was another golfer.

Wow, that's a mess, dude is lucky to lose that crap.

11am?

I have a friend who keeps all his swing notes written on the brim of his cap, seems silly to me.

So what's his swing thought?  Does he have a priority piece?  Hmmm...

I found someones notes on the course the other day also.  They wrote it on the roof of the golf cart...   It read "That's the problem, you looked up"...

My only swing thought is breath ---  Deep control breath - hold and exhale at address -   then grip it and rip it.  The less I think about my swing the better I play.  The more I think about what I should be doing the worse I play!

If that works for you, great, but most golfers should play with one swing thought or feel. A specific feel associated with their priority piece. They don't necessarily have to "think" about it when they're swinging but they should rehearse the move during their practice swing. Get a refresher on the "feel", then hit the shot.

To each his own I guess.  For good golfers - your body knows how to hit the shot. Commit to the shot you want to hit and hit it... don't let your brain get in the way.

Even for poor golfers, the body knows how to hit the shot -- it's just not the shot they imagined. :-O

And Yes, don't let the brain interfere...
