Let's see ... about 20 weeks of 9-hole league play.  18 every weekend on Sat or Sunday from May through end of September and possibly into October.  A couple of golf vacations thrown in where 3 18 hole rounds are played each year.  Close to 40 full 18-hole rounds equiv. in a VERY short NE Ohio golf season.

And like everyone else, I'd like to play MUCH more!

I play 1-2 times a weekend and then during summer I will play 1-3 time per week so i'm somewhere in the hundreds but I don't really keep track. Its nice being able to play all year long, never miss a weekend.

I turned 69 years old this year.  2 years ago, I played/posted to my handicap 189 rounds.  Last year I was down to about 165.  This year, I will probably be around 135 or so.  I am still working and my work travel schedule has played a big part in the decline in the number of rounds I am playing.

How are you able to work and still find time to play that much golf?

I live in New York State and am still getting out playing in late October. I expect to still get a few rounds in in the month of November as well.

I take back what I said as now the weather is warming up again so we should be good for a couple more weeks. I will be playing this week.

What's in the bag?
2 Iron, 3 Iron, 4 Iron, 5 Iron, 6 Iron, 7 Iron, 8 Iron, 9 Iron, PW, GW, 3 Wood, 5 Wood, Putter

If you count the number of quick trips around the par-3, I'm upwards of 65 right now and still have hopes for a few more rounds before New Year's.

If the weather stays nice deep into December, 75 may be about right.

People who voted that they play 100+ rounds a year must live in warm climates. Up here where I live we have 6 months at the most of golfable weather

I have over 60 rounds this year and I am in the northeast. I will probably get a 5-7 more in hopefully. I was also injured from Jun 14th to Sep 1st. I am curious to see how next year goes.

May thu July, I usually play 20 to 35 rounds per month by playing after work and on weekends.  In August, I averaged about 40 to 45 rounds because besides playing after work, I take a golf vacation and in 10 days play 15 rounds.  Then in September, I am back to 20 to 35 rounds...again playing after work and on weekends.  I live in a golf course community, own my own golf cart, and can easily play 18 holes during daylight savings after I get off from work. When I play in the evenings, I can get around 18 holes in about 2 hours or maybe a little less.  We can play golf 12 months out of the year so it is pretty easy to still play 8 to 10 rounds per month when the days get shorter.

    • They sure do. 158 with an 8 iron is on the high end for me
    • Went back to controlling my knees. That part was getting a bit sloppy when I worked on my backswing. Right hip didn't slide or gain internal rotation. I would just rotate back and around and the left knee would be in a bad spot. Really focusing now on keeping my left knee very stable and straighter in the backswing. I can't go back to the old pattern of overturning the hips. I was returning to my old pattern to time my downswing. Turn forever.  Left knee controls both knees and hips, acting as an anchor. Feel like it straightens a bit.   Hinge sooner and faster. Not in a way that sends the hands out and flips the club over. I still noticed when the hands get to A2.5, the hands would want to flip over and flatten the club out a ton.  Still trying to figure out how to roll the forearms a bit open and not just roll the club inside a ton.  Figure out the timing to get the hands down. Still getting a bit of right elbow collapsing in the downswing because the arms are too high when I turn. Everything is happening sooner now. If the hips are controlled, the backswing is shortened. Because it is shortened I don't know when to get the hands down and I just turn because the downswing is a go.  Very slow (50%) swings are decent.
    • Distances look fine, no?
    • Day 207-12 Wider backswing and arm reconnecting in downswing. Did a much better job with proper wrist movements through downswing today.
