And has a lot of confidence in his swing, that's a small makeshift "net".

Just a foam ball though, only painful if you take one to the face or groin.

I'm not so sure, the sound of the ball bouncing sounded like it was pretty hard. Maybe a limited flight ball or birdie type ball?

Did he say so you guys don't cry? Or something something... cry?

Yeah that bounce did sound a little clicky. Maybe a plastic ball? A beach towel draped over a chair isn't stopping a real ball like that.

This reminded me of a buddy of mine. He was hitting real balls in his garage into a net. He was filming face on and the ball he was hitting hit the top bar of the net and came right back to his forehead. It was hilarious to watch but left a nice mark on his dome. I tried to get him to upload it to youtube:)

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.
    • That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.
    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
