i think jim furyk is a great player and appreciate what he brings to the game of golf. i am leaning toward making my swing look like his. i have watched great swings like tiger woods and adam scott but none of those are as interesting as furyks. so off to the local pro for some instruction.

JUST KIDDING !!!! i think furyk is amazing but wow, what a swing. the thing that amazes me is how he repeats it so perfectly each time. cheers to jim furyk!!!

in all honesty i try to model the swings of adam scott, luke donald, tiger woods, stuart appleby, and geoff ogilvy (sp).

yeah, he does that "C" shaped thing when he switches planes at the top. he's such a deadly short game player. awesome golfer, one of the most consistent guys out there. when i try a new swing, i never completely abandon my natural swing, i just sorta incorporate something new into it. if i try a totally new swing, i'm screwed and its very frustrating.

Worth noting: Jim Furyk has ranked as high as #2 in the world, despite ranking like 175th (just looked it up: eerie how I was right) in driving distance. There's something to be said about that.

And I say it whenever anyone tells me that I need more distance to play better. Yes, more distance will help, and I want it, but not at the expense of my putting and chipping practice!
