I got a great deal at my pro shop for the above putter. The problem is it is 35 inches. I am 5'7" on it is too long. I can either cut the shaft or have Ping install the adjustable shaft on this putter. If i were to trim the shaft myself and regrip, i just trim from the top? I think i need about 32 inches when I am finished.

Yes. Or you can just grip down on the club.

One other possibility as in my case, is to just learn to putt from a more upright position.

Well my right hand is on the steel now. I love the putter and the weight and ping will put the adjustable shaft on for 55.00? i think. I paid 85.00 for the putter but i hate to send it in. I was worried about balance and counter balance adjusting the shaft length. Anyway thanks for the input.

Consider getting a longer grip, which are popular now or talk to someone in a proshop about cutting down the putter and installing a heavy or counterbalanced grip. That would likely help offset any weight loss from trimming the shaft a bit.

I'd probably keep it as is, change the grip so you can grip down and try a 50g counterbalance weight in it.
