Swinging from flat to upright?

Has anyone heard about the technique of swing back a little flatter and then bringing the club down a little more upright?  It seems like Hogan may have done this a little bit.  I have always been told to swing a little more upright on the backswing and then flatten it out on the downswing.  I would like to hear fellow golfers thoughts on this.

Yeah. It's a great way to shoot 92.

Hogan didn't return the club steep after a shallow backswing.

You mean the hacker technique? :-P

Most good golfers are a little "steep to shallow", even if it's just a few degrees. Mickelson is one player that comes to mind as someone who is "shallow to steep" but it's very rare. I wouldn't put Hogan in that "shallow to steep" category

Video: Weight looks too far back. ”I fixed it because my parents are rich”. Oookay. Good luck. OP seems a lost cause, so what we can learn from this topic (not that there aren’t enough examples out there) is that weight forward is important and don’t always trust what the person is saying. It may not be correct, be it trolling, ignorance or lack of knowledge.
