This past week I purchased a box of the project a balls.  I wasn't sure what to expect.  They say what everyone else says about their ball.  Long, soft, spin, etc.  I played two rounds with them and I have to say I was pleased.  I hit two of the longest drives I've hit in a long time.  It could have been a fluke, but maybe not.  Around the greens they were nice to.  I normally play the prov 1 or the prov 1 x, but I think I'll stick with these for a little while longer.  I also like the price.  And even better, Walmart sells them.  Let me know if anyone has played these balls and what you liked or didn't like about them.

I believe they have been discontinued, so if you like them you may want to stock up.

I've hit them in the past and liked them.

I was at the flea market today and bought 3 dozen balls.  A dozen Taylormade Lethals, a dozen Projects (a) and a dozen Callaway SR2.  They were used but for 9.99 per dozen, they'll play.  I'll try them out over the next few months.

I played them for a while and I did like them a lot. AFAIK, they aren't being made anymore, but I think a good replacement for them would be the Snell My Tour Ball. The Snell's were developed by the same guy who developed the Project A (Dean Snell). The price on those is very good as well.

Rockbottomgolf is selling them for 24/dozen if you buy 3 dozen, 26 if you buy one.

Project(a) - good ball, an evolution of the earlier balls, the last iteration being the RBZ Urethane. Doesn't have great spin around the greens but stops well on full shots. The Snell My Tour Ball is a better all around ball, and many think it equals or exceeds other premium balls at a great out the door price.

Looks like they released a new version of Project(a) for 2016 so the older ones are getting discounted pretty heavily.
