Tiger wood used a mix set of Mizuno blades and had Titleist duplicate a similar set for him to use.

Where did you see that he had Mizuno's? I looked at the site and didn't see that.

I suspect this site is outdated, especially since Tiger's with Nike and I'm pretty sure he plays Nike irons. I can go dig out a Golf World from the last tournament he won and see.

I'd say to go with the 695cbs. When i've hit them square it was the best feeling club i have ever hit, but im not consistent enough to have them as my normal set of irons. Another set that i don't think any one has mentioned is the mizuno mp-67's. Mizuno makes great blades.

I think that I am going to go with the Titleist 735-CM's. I like the fact that they are easy to hit in thye long irons and the short irons are blades which is great for precision on approach shots.

Played my first round with my new Titleist 695cb's X100 shafts today. I've been playing the last two weeks with my buddies 695cb S300 shafts. I really love these clubs. Such a nice look when your addressing the ball and feels awesome when you hit it right. Very penetrating trajectory and the x stiff shafts give me extra confidence. I really like my 755's but these are that much neater and sweeter to hit.

Was about to make a devcision on either 735CM or Mizuno MP 60 but now Titleist are bringing out the ZB's and I think that I will definitely have to try them out.

I would go to a demo day and try out all differnt irons. I used to only play blades for years. I hit my Taylormade Burner irons and fell in love with them. Forgiving clubs are the way to go.

My wife just took me out to dinner and told me that she got something for me. I was shocked when she said, "How does Titleist 735 cm stainless with S300 sound? The will be here tomorrow so you can take them to your guy and have put your custom specs on them." I almost fell over. She got them on sale at TGW. Sweet! I can't wait to hit them. I have the best wife ever!

Before you make this kind of choice I would set a priority to attend a large well represented demo day. You can find when one will be in your area on the internet. Make sure you attend one that alows you to try clubs on grass and hittng shots on a range long enough to see really what the clubs performance is. Go by sight and feel and don't go by what someone tells you to think, go with your gut(your the one that's going to be swinging these babies). All of the top eom's and top independant components are really good, it all comes down to looks and feel, and get them fit to you if you can, it means alot for your consistancy of ball striking....bwgolfer

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
