They're not really doing these things for the golfer.

I understand the videos, but even these types are of somewhat limited value to an instructor. They're interesting to me as a geek with knowledge about what these are, but… they're also not really "new" in that sense. Of course when the club begins slowing down, the net direction of force has flipped.

You're absolutely right! This goes back at least as far as Homer Kelley and "The Golfing Machine", and maybe before that.
