Iv'e always relied on my lw on my home course to chip the downhill chips for practice on a very fast and slopey green. For challenge today I used my 55 deg Mizuno and as usual I had trouble stopping the ball because it ran out to much or I just could'tn get it right. Iv'e been tinkering with the interlock grip for chipping and today it just clicked big time! I believe it release much less increase wrist hinge and multiplies touch x 5. It keeps the face dead square though impact and with it I could add lot's of touch and cut across the ball with my pro v.  I was lipping out and holing very tough chips that previously required a high lob. Give this a try next time you do a cut chip or even a basic chip it's very superior in terms of touch and accuracy! Not to say a standard overlap chips doesn't have it place in pitches because sometimes you want release.

It's all about comfort, I know people who change their grip just based on what feels comfortable that day. I'm one of them.

It's not a superior grip. You hit a couple of good shots on one day and jumped to this conclusion. You don't see me telling people to putt one handed because I made a couple of 20 footers yesterday on the practice green that way.

I used to be the same way but it actually has a technical reason. It actually felt weird and awful for me until I started chipping them in.

That actually makes no sense from a scientific standpoint. Putting one handed would be very inefficient and difficult. I didn't jump to any conclusion I hit about 100 chips on a windy day and determined this by the spin, ball flight and the motion of the ball as it flew though the air. It's superior in it's stopping power, wrist hings and control. Not saying I didn't hole out chips before with the overlap but consequentially they were usually chips that broke left and had room to release because that's what an overlap grips promotes in chipping it releases or baby block.

Oh by the way if you disagree have some kind of rebuttal as why it doesn't give a valid scientific reason to why this is a falsity.

When you're so obviously wrong there isn't much to say except that you need to use some common sense.

Scientific reason:  100 chips in an uncontrolled test environment by one person will not produce enough conclusive evidence to make such an assertion as to which grip is superior for chipping.

It's not an assertion i'm very keen into ball flight dynamics and within a 100 chip trial on down hill and uphill chips on a icey fast green the interlock grip maintained it's line and has less draw spin. This is true on full shots as well to a degree because your adding much speed it can vary. I can say with 95% confidence that this grip will produce a softer landing on say 12 to 15 yard chips and flops.

You can always try it yourself if you have 2 hours to do a trial.

You're ridiculous.

And I could probably out-chip you cross-handed. Or right handed only.

Stop with the stupid assertions.

    • I don't think you can snag lpga.golf without the actual LPGA having a reasonable claim to it. You can find a ton of articles of things like this, but basically: 5 Domain Name Battles of the Early Web At the dawn of the world wide web, early adopters were scooping up domain names like crazy. Which led to quite a few battles over everything from MTV.com You could buy it, though, and hope the LPGA will give you a thousand bucks for it, or tickets to an event, or something like that. It'd certainly be cheaper than suing you to get it back, even though they'd likely win. As for whether women and golfers can learn that ".golf" is a valid domain, I think that's up to you knowing your audience. My daughter has natalie.golf and I have erik.golf.
