Plus, IIRC your swing speed is pretty high so what people normally get for shafts won't really be a good option. You might be better off just paying full price and getting one of the premium shaft options that comes with that price?

At a Callaway demo day at my course, I was able to get custom fitting for my son who swings fast as well for $418, but he didn't want or need a new driver.

I actually was going to try to get to a demo day for Callaway to try this driver but I need to be a little healthier first.

No, I also read your entire post which I personally thought was full of assumptions about my swing along with a few other things which I agree with you on.

I wouldn't trust any club on Ebay with a huge discount.  I have purchased used on there before and the club was clearly inferior.  Counter fit companies have gotten really good at making clubs LOOK like they real deal, but performance is a joke.

I didn't see any assumptions regarding your swing in his posts?

So, we have no idea how you swing because you haven't posted a swing thread yet. If you don't want to assume that people are making assumptions regarding your swing you can mitigate them by posting one. Just saying. . .

OTOH, I am working on my gizmo to end all gizmos for my iphone 6S plus, and am somewhat delinquent in posting my latest swings as well.

Let's race to see who can post their latest swings first***? :-D

***Keep in mind that I am designing and printing a gizmo to adapt an alignment rod into a self standing monopod from which I can install or remove my iphone easily.

yeah, you're probably right. I took the "you" in the statements to mean me personally, but "you" could just mean anybody I guess

All I can say is that I bought a new Cobra Baffler XL 5 wood, a Cobra Flyz + driver, a Adams Speedline Super S 3 FW, and a Cobra Bio Cell 3-4 hybrid off of ebay at prices much lower than Dick's Sporting Good's, and after using these clubs I can assure you from how they perform that they most certainly are not inferior to any club you might pay much more for at Dick's. If I would have bought those same clubs at Dicks it would have cost me hundreds of dollars more than I paid for those clubs on ebay. So if you want to pay the enormous amount to purchase clubs at Dick's and pay for their overhead costs then go ahead and be my guest. As for me, I buy the same clubs that Dick's sells for much less and take the amount I saved and use it for other equipment.

Well you can't buy from just anybody on ebay, but the good sellers aren't too hard to find. Almost all the stuff I've gotten off ebay has been from the same 3-4 accounts.

Agree with this. Also, the feedback is a good indicator. Someone with a lot of private sales and 100% positive feedback is a good seller. Good sellers also provide good pictures.

Yep - and the clubs they sell are just as good as Dick's at a much lower cost because you don't have to pay for the expensive overhead like at Dick's

    • Day 105: mirror work today. Focused on not looping my hands at the top of the swing. Straight down.
    • Still working on the backswing a bit. Hand still gets away from the body, out towards the ball, and at A2 the club wants to roll over and get flat at A3. It's just very difficult to shallow from that position like I want. Which makes my downswing work impossible.  Backswing I have been playing around with the left leg straightening to start the backswing. It's like, a slight shove of the hips right with the left leg. Then just keep the flex in the right knee as I turn into it. I kind of like it. I never had a good swing trigger. It helps keep my left knee extended.  Yea, definitely feeling the hand path is traveling down the feet line, and straight up. A little bit of wrist rotation, and a lot more hinge sooner in the right wrist and elbow. I am trying to get the feeling that the arm hinging up then is the cause for the right shoulder to retract to finish the backswing. Club feels much more vertical at A3. I am trying to have my wrist fully hinged by then.  Feel the club and arms stop at A3.5 (my A4). If my arm collapses late, then I turn into that and I am pretty much screwed. The club and arms kind of have a floaty feeling, where they are just suspended in air for a bit, then drop.  Downswing I have been trying to think of a good visual for this mentally. I like the idea of my hands taking a wide arc to my right pocket, or I am taking the back of the hosel and trying to hit the ground behind my right foot.    Left knee stuff, just sooner.
    • Day 78 - 2026-03-10 Backswing work at the net with foam balls, a few real ball swings.
    • Day 525 - 2026-03-10 Got some work in before lessons today (was going to play after but it decided to POUR). Then like three minutes in later on.
