I have a taylormade r11 cart bag that wasn't exactly cheap but I love everything about it except for 2 things. The first is that the side pockets will drag on the wheels of my push cart which gets annoying... But that's not the problem I'm asking about here.

The onw I'm wondering about is the fact that when my bag is on my cart, it twists. The base may be straight on where it sits but the top part of the bag will be cocked 45 deg. It's extremely annoying. I check the stays in the bag and they're all in tact I think. I'm not sure why this is happening,  or if it's normal? It happens more on hot days. I'm guessing things get softer (plastic, et) in heat so that's why.

I'm looking at cart bags with the side pockets farther from the base so I can fix the dragging on the wheels problem. But I'm wondering if there are brands or models I should look at that have more rigid stays so that my bag stops cocking baked forth. It's interrupting to my pace of place when using my push car because I have to keep fixing it (the pockets will drag even harder on one side).

Looking at the sun mountain bags, c-130 or tour series. I'm also looking to upgrade to full length dividers so that's a 3rd reason.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a Sun Mountain C-130. it will shift when I get lazy and don't loop the cart straps like the bag was designed. If i put them through all 3 bag loops it doesn't move.  I also have a clic gear 3.5+ and the pockets don't drag. I  like the bag. i have had it a few years now. my old carry bag just didn't fit everything. I love the range finder pocket. way more convenient than other cart bags I have seen.

I use a bungie to keep the bag from shifting. It works ok, but I still have to shift it once in a while.

When you guys say "shifting" are you meaning that the bag it just rotating? because my bag is actually twisting - where the bottom of the bag is still straight but the top is cocked. So that stays are basically bending the bag around. If I just had to shift the whole bag back to straight that would be fine but the problem with a twisted bag is that I'm either dragging one of the side pockets on one of the wheels (top is straight, bottom is cocked) or the top is cocked making it difficult to get my clubs in/out and the bottom is straight.

I need a stronger bag it looks like. Something that won't twist on itself.

I'm going to check out the other bags in the sun mount bag/cart combo thread and see what I can find.

Edit: how are you guys using a bungee to help? Could you post a pic?

Yea, I switched back to my old Ping stand bag. It works much better on my cart (it only rotates every now and then, where I only have to shift the whole bag). It's much better for the cart but the thing I hate is it's just a 5-way top lol. My clubs get hung up pretty bad pulling them in and out of the bag. Really looking at getting a 14 or 15-way top with full length dividers. If I had less tacky grips it would be fine but I play with CP2's so it's just a matter of time before they start getting torn up.

I use an Ogio Pisa cart bag with my Clicgear 3.5+ and it works really well.  I was able to get the previous year's model for much less than I could buy a previous year Sun Mountain.

The only issue I have is that if you don't use the strap channels up top and just put the straps over the outside of the bag it blocks access to the upper side pockets.  This is fine with the Clicgear because I can get the bungee straps through the channel but on some riding carts I have to put the strap around the outside.  I almost never ride, but if I did a lot more I might look at other bags.

I have a Callaway bag that's starting to do the same thing. Not 45°, but it twists just enough that I know the interior structure of the bag is compromised somehow. I have full length individual dividers and it's affected some of the inner slots - the clubs get stuck sometimes going into the bag so they stick up out of the bag too much. I have to pull adjacent clubs slightly and let them all slide into the bottom of the bag together.

It's annoying, but not enough that I'd need to prioritize getting a new bag though. I have yet to come up with a solution for it.

If your bag is twisting it sounds as if the internal structure is compromised in some way. I dont use a bungee. I tried to upload a picture of my bag but it exceeds 2.5mb and I don't know how to shrink it on my phone.

I think it might be that this is a TM promotional (not sure if that's the correct way to put it) bag because it says "R11" on it and they went a little cheaper with the materials. I picked up the Sun Mountain C130 cart bag and it is LOADS higher quality (it also cost twice as much though, at $220). I've walked (pushed) two rounds now without issue. The TM bag now sits in my office as a spare lol and fits all of my replaced clubs... funny enough I now have completely replaced every club in my bag this year except my putter lol.

So, problem solved :) Also the pocket don't drag on the wheels with this bag which make it so much easier to walk without shifting the whole bag around 100 times per round.
