Hi everyone, just joined TST. I've picked up the sticks again after a 4 year layoff. I played 125+ rounds a year in the 1990's. Around 2001, injury, and then work made playing infrequent. And for the last 4 years, nothing. So, I decided to get my priorities in order. Played 9 holes today, 6 over. hit the ball well, but short game is sad. My clubs are 13 years old,and one of my shoes fell apart, but I am encouraged. I was an 8 when playing regularly, and see no reason that I can't get there again.

I know that the technology is much advanced since I bought my Titleist 983K driver and Tit 762 irons with S300 steel, but I believe I'll go with that setup for a while. Swing speed may have fallen off a bit, (was 94 with 5 iron in the day) but a set of grips, and some short game practice should be all I need. I'll be 60 in 2 months, and frankly, I wondered if I'd even be able to hit the ball.
