I believe it's more to do with clubhead movement and how it promotes redirection.

Not following you here. Is this your way of saying a beginner's slice is primarily due to an out-to-in path?

The importance of creating a repeatable swing vs try to kill it and control it every time.  I was already hitting it 300 yds at 15 yrs old but it wasn't super accurate and the rest of my game wasn't very consistent.  It took me a long time to settle down and try to create a consistent swing.

This comment resonates with me, and I am still working on the above to this day after playing for 25+ years.

My advice to beginners......learn golf etiquette.  Do that, and you will fit in just fine...............

I agree. The right shoulder can be involved, but more often than not it has to do more with the wrists, and these golfers are still almost closed with their torso/shoulders at impact.

I wish I knew that having a good mental game is just as important as having the physical tool set.  I used to get way too frustrated on the course and had a tough time letting bad shots go.  The more positive and optimistic I am, the better scores I shoot.
