Can't find another Nike Black Machspeed Square, the head on mine is dented.  Have bought/played a Nike VRS, Cobra FlyZ.  Tried others at demo days.  Still can't find one as forgiving/solid as the Nike Square even with the head dinged up....   Want a big face/high MOI.  And can't seem to find real data, just opinions.  Any suggestions????

Digest ratings are pretty bad.

Guess there is some frustration here as I can't find real data on golf clubs anymore.  The internet/websites were great for awhile but now the data isn't put out there where I can find it.  Can't find how the G30, F6, FlyZ (different versions) and others compare on face square inches, MOI, COG position?   Every maker says they have a "hot" face formula.  Can't find out what happens when you put Iron Byon with a 100mph swing and the same golf ball on the different brands!!!!!  Put em on Iron Byon and mis hit the ball.....

Sorry for the rant but looking for some logical explanations of good/bad..

Thanks

The data is out there (don't see face area, but the other stuff is there):

...it just isn't (IMO) very helpful.  The only way to find the right club is to test them all.

I read these articles and it doesn't really clarify how to choose or set up your driver.... I don't think...

Just looking at them they don't seem like it. If you get fitted, and you now know the specs you want, you can get pretty close on other drivers if you know the CG location.

Knowing the Ping G sits in that low and far back range. Moving forward and keeping the same vertical CG location will lower the spin, but also decrease MOI. I'm probably looking at the following drivers as very comparable to my Ping G.

Taylormade M2
Cobra King F6/F6+
Callaway XR 16 Pro

Reading it, I liked the Cobra King Ltd, Pro. I think it might be a solid performer for me.

If you miss to the right, you might want to look at one of Cobra's offset drivers.  If you pull it will probably be bad news.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
