Anyone use the "Linear Method" by Gary Smith?

Says he is really popular in the U.K.  I tried this. Seems great. Impossible to not hit a pitch or chip well, even with your hands behind the ball.  Find it impossible to cock my wrists though.

It's not really a new way to chip or pitch. He just wants you to be square at setup… which I tell my students, too.

I square the club up on pitch/chip shots, but I do rotate my shoulders slightly. Contact is normally very good and I usually get the ball to land about where I want (which is often not the right spot). The only time the face is opened would be for a flop or sand shot.

At my skill level, nobody should take advice from me.

Not much new there. I've been doing something very similar for a lot of years. Just never heard it called "Linear" before. Still good advice though.
