I just found this course online. Looks to be only a nine hole course, yet the site shows 18?  Like I said, I never played there, and only vague recollection of it. I did find there are a few other longer 18 hole courses in the area near New Philadelphia. I've no relatives in the area any more except for Akron and a niece in a small town near Cadiz Ohio (Jewett) who is a "Pastor" at a small church there.

Dayton is in the SW corner of the state and Tuscarawas County is in the NE. I used to live just north of there, but it was well before I started playing golf.

Oh I know. I left Ohio at the age of 17. Only been back maybe 3 times since. I am the last of my generation within my family. Ohio is not exactly a huge state however ;-).  I may revisit one day, it might be kind of fun going back solo with no family to visit. Last  time in Uhrichsville was very depressing. Nothing hardly left there, lots of boarded up store fronts, residential community in bad state of neglect and in need of repairs.  They put up a large water park in what used to be a nice, family, Quiet, park. What a waste of resources! Dennison used to be a railroad hub, no longer. The one and only RR Depot, is now a museum. No passenger trains ever stop there, and probably don't even go through. I can recall a little about going to Columbus on the train with my mother. Train still be pulled by a steam locomotive.
