Wow, she dusted her morning guy, nearly winning 10 and 8, and now she's dispatched the other guy 3 and 1. She won her first match by birdieing the 18th hole yesterday.

How far will she go? Will she win it?

All things being equal, I'd say no. But things aren't equal, and I think the added pressure, media attention, gallery size, etc. all work against her opponents.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this: I think she's going to win.

I was talking with someone about the same thing today. I think she loses in the final. She choked at the US Women's open in the final round and I think the pressure will get to her. That being said...I am

very impressed so far.

Fairways and Greens.

Well, she has certainly already done more than I expected. (as usual)

I voted for her to lose in her afternoon match tomorrow. I just don't see her taking this thing, but I do agree with you that it's hurting her opponents probably more than it is her. She is used to all this attention, they aren't.

I think she will just face an opponent that is a lot more mature than her and wear her down. She will probably lose something like 3 and 2 or 2 and 1.

Am I correct in thinking the guys who finished high in the stroke play are still left in this thing? Or have some of them been upset as well? How do they do those brackets?

The pressure is on her competitors, pure and simple.

Its hard to believe that a 15 year old girl can be intimidating on the golf course, but she is. She has more experience in handling pressure than anybody she'll face this week. She's played (and finished high) in LPGA events, including majors and played in 3 PGA tour events. I think she scares some people. With that said, she has a great chance of winning it all.

Since it's match play, she has a great chance. Her biggest problem is blowing up on one hole. A triple can kill you in stroke play but it's only one hole in match play.

Wie was defeated 5 and 4 this morning.

I guess Ogden didn't really care who he was playing, it looks like he lit it up.

Anyways, no Masters for Michelle Wie, and Hootie can finally get some sleep.
