Trivial perhaps, but tracking a package online using the official site for the US Postal Service will protect you from having an otherwise unwanted app being added to Google Chrome.  In the past, such apps gave me more spam, malware, pops.  Just scroll down on your browser to find "Official United States Postal Service", enter your tracking number in the dialogue box at the top, it gives immediate tracking.

I use a smartphone paid app w/no ads where you can input everyone, USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL in one place.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

@nevets88 note you did say "paid" app. My point was that the browser I am using, gave several sites, all of which wanted to install an additional app to Chrome, while using the USPS official site, no changes to your computer. Not a big thing, but I just do not like these sites wanting me to actually "install" anything. USPS , No fees of course, but at the same time, as you point out, no diversity of choice. Since I am not a big user, ebay, e.t.c.  It is there when I need it.

Isn't it simple to just use tracking info for inbound and outbound packages?

One would only need the convince of an App if they open an account for multiple use.

Sometimes I have four to six packages going one way or the other, on different carriers. An app is convenient.

Most definitely. That's another major reason they're worth paying for.

Timeliness of notification isn't always spot on for me but close enough. I've gotten notified before and after delivery.
