Thanks for the input guys. We're based in UK and have a guy called Jamie Donaldson (not the former Ryder Cup player) who is a level 4 instructor. He's based at Woburn which is around 2 1/2 hours away. He coaches Ian Poulter and has worked with Adam Scott. It's  £100 an hour for a private session but first session has to be 2 hours.

Expensive? Yes, however we spend upwards of £600 on a set of irons so for something that could help you for the rest of your playing days it sounds like a good investment

Looking at aimpointgolf.com, there's a link to register for his combined express 1&2 course (Nov 15).  It lists the price as 99 GBP. http://www.aimpointgolf.com/clinic/6408

Yup. That's the way to do it. Group sessions. Not individuals.

Those that have trouble at first benefit from buying a level and practicing with it for a bit. I've yet to meet people who can't feel the slope pretty well once they figure it out.

I bought one and practiced the Aimpoint putting.  I found that I am typically wrong by about plus of minus 2%.  Sometimes, by even more.  Another thing I found is that even for a 10 foot putt, the slope can vary by a few degrees based on where I place the level.   What starts out as a 2% at your feet may go to 0% in the middle and -1% at the pin area.   That is, it is not exact science.   The only way I can improve a lot with this method is to chart my home course greens.   But that would be too much work instead of being a hobby.   Since I retired and started playing every day, golf has become a pastime.  I.e, I've gotten less serious about improving vs enjoying.

That's pretty darn rare.

And why you read it in proper spot.
