So I've been absent from The Sand Trap for awhile.  Love this site, but since security issues at work made it so I can't visit during my lunches it's been hard for me to find the time to post on here.

Hello,

Sorry to bring back a zombie thread. Your putting green looks fantastic. I live in Pennsylvania and am thinking about putting one of these in my backyard this year. How is it holding up 2 years in? Are the paver base panels holding up strong?

Sorry did not see this.  The paver panels are fine, but I didn't frame the leveling sand under the green which is fine for me cus I like new breaks.

I do have an update.  So I decided the trap being so close to the green wasnt allowing me to practice sand shots so I decided to go back to hardware mode and enlareged the trap per the next two pics:

Once that was done I got a really nice quick pop net from Dicks and now I can practice any sandshot I want!  Also I put a cover down under the net to catch the sand then just put the sand back in to the bunker.  Couple finished pics let me know what you all think!

Thanks!  Yeah, after about 40 shots out of the trap the last few days I'm starting to feel more comfortable with my technique and more confident.  I def think this was needed just wish I had done it sooner!

Gotta say...trap has already paid dividends.  Had two sand shots Sunday and got out of both leaving myself a longish par put (which I missed both).  Still this trap is giving me confidence!

      I've been using Gatorade Zero powder that I get at WalMart.  Sometimes Propel, which I think is more or less the same thing.  Before a round of Spring/Fall golf, I'll often prepare a two-quart pitcher of water and two of the packets, then partition that (with some ice) into water bottles.  In the summer, I'll do that plus some more (so maybe 3Q of total water, more when the ice melts, which it does because my bottles aren't perfectly sealed I guess).  The suggestion of Ultima Replenisher sounds like something I'll give a try.

      I have been lazy and defaulting to Gatorade Zero Blue Frost. in the single packets. I will check out Ultima Replenisher, thanks!

      I used Ultima Replenisher for a while. Got it on Amazon. Lemonade was my favorite flavor. I’ve been lazy and just using Gatorade Zero Orange lately.

      Only two things I'd worry about a little right now (though this is without seeing face-on views… you know better!) Stop extending the right knee so much. Hands have to move a bit more aggressively "away" (from the target and ball), perhaps with some forearm twisting clockwise from your POV, to start the downswing.

      I haven’t posted a video in quite a while (or practiced for that matter) due to some health issues. I was able to get a couple of down-the-line videos today at the range. Still have a bit of the same issues, but it’s playable while I work on the swing. I apologize for the construction noise. I do notice my rehearsal swing has higher hands than my final swing. I’ll try to get some face on swings at my home setup in the near future.
