Slice or Push Slice?

So I was wondering if there is any way to tell just from the ball flight if your hitting the traditional out to in swing plane slice because of and over the top move or maybe I've got an in to out plane and just too much? A lot of my iron shots seem to start way right of target as soon as I hit them and have a fade to them and then my driver does the same thing but it does slice pretty severe. I know an over the top move creates a glancing blow to the ball and normally doesn't have much power to it but my shots feel like I'm hitting them very solid there just going way right. So any advice would be appreciated?

I see you've got a swing thread, @Josh90. This might be best discussed there. From what I've gathered, there are tons of reasons to generate various ball flights. So while it's interesting to discuss them all hypothetically, you're likely more interested in the root causes of your own issues.

There are some decent threads out there that discuss swing patterns generally, or swing problems generally- without honing in on one person's problems, and those can be enlightening. But to discuss the weak push fade/slice might be a bit too general.

Again, I'd recommend getting to the range, taking better video from the proper angles, and posting to your swing thread for specific questions.

I don't really think so.  If your club face was open enough, you could still hit a push slice with an in-to-out path.

And that kinda sounds like it might be what is happening. Impossible to tell without video.
