I knew you were going to say that . . I just put my phone on the window sill in my still empty office .. next time I'll scrounge up a few boxes to prop it on.

It was definitely an eye opener last night when I did it for the first time . .in my new, uber-dark garage there was still enough light to realize that I couldn't do this without moving my head a lot.  I thought about it some and I see if I do it differently I can do it somewhat better . . .as in the current video...I think I understand the idea enough to keep working on it until I figure out how to do it quite a bit better than I just did now . . maybe not awesome .. but definitely better.

edit - thanks!

I love your pajama outfit, you fit right in at a Dead show parking lot =). Whats most obvious to me is your issue with marrying the shoulder turn and body rotation. What should help you is working on getting better weight transfer to n fro. And a better understanding of how the upper body should be bending in the BS and DS. Below are 2 videos that to explain visually and drills. There are a ton of videos out there discussing these ideas so search the net and find more and you will see.

Anyway - I will practice this and I think I can do better . .here's what I can do right now.

Nice job with the backswing. Probably going to feel like the lower body is a lot more involved.

On the followthrough squeeze the thighs together.

I tend to hit a "high floater" . .I'd like to bring it down.

Have you played with trying to bow your lead wrist through impact at all?

Not really - I've never really tried to strengthen my grip or do anything with my lead wrist except flatten it at the top and rotate them through impact.  Lately I haven't been working on much at all - been setting up the new house and yada yada.  I went to the range twice, at least.  I've been working on improving my rotation, without swaying, in the backswing at the same time as trying not to let my right knee get away from me - letting my right knee "get away from me" means a whole bunch of things I'm trying to work out in my head . .not just about my right knee.  It's a lot of Key 1 with a little Key 4 stuff and perhaps a sniff of Key 3.  Don't read too much into the way I describe it.

If he's anything close to a 20… that's one of the last things he should probably worry about.

It's pretty close . .I don't have an actual handicap but based on the course I usually play (rating and slope, etc) - it would probably be around 18.  That's based on playing just a few times a year, though.  I joined a golf league for this year to force myself to play more so I can get an accurate measure . .so we'll see.

Please keep working on your priority piece… and please don't remove videos when you post them here. It screws up prior posts, and discourages people from wanting to help you.

I dig those pants, actually.

Have a great golfing 2017.

Custom fit RBZ irons. Taylormade RBZ driver. Some crappy old high-bounce Macgregor wedge and an even older Mizuno 5 wood. Haven't settled on a ball yet - still looking. Decades of football, weightlifting and boxing came together to create the world's worst golfer. I'm slowly correcting that now.

    • Day 23: weird day, and only had a little bit of time. Just did mirror work again, working on where the elbow is in the downswing
    • I flipped over to this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone else watch? I picked it up during the golf relay event, but seeing these pros out having fun in alternative events was refreshing and entertaining. I’m sure it will be on in reruns in the next week or so, so I won’t spoil the outcome. Im curious what others thought of it. I’m recording it’s later airing to see the beginning.
    • Day 443 - 2025-12-17 Made a few swings in testing some things out at another academy. Might pop up on someone else's podcast in a few weeks.
    • Day 37 (17 Dec 25) - nine hole round with my good friend.  We got paired up with a couple of the men’s group regulars as part of their shootout.  Started off with a wonderful quad bogie and then a dbl on three to be six over thru three holes.  Game went 180° over the next five as I shot one under (including a chip in birdie on hole six and four up and down 1 putt pars) for a net finish of five over. What could have been a really tough nine became a solid finish due to staying in the moment and not checking out.  Great day in course management and keeping perspective .
    • Day 127 12-17 Backswing and flow practice. Took advantage of the 60 degeee weather(it was 20 degrees Sunday)
