Looking for a 60*

Right now I have a set of Cleveland CG14's (52, 56) and love them to death. I used to have a Cleveland 588 53*, Vokey 56* SM, and an old Vokey 60*. I traded those in and got the 2 Cleveland's.

I have trouble hitting my 56 in short, 60 yards or less, shots. So I need a 60. What would be the best wedges for me that wont cost me an arm and a leg.


I don't want a vokey.

I would suggest a Cleveland reg 588 wedge.

I've tried several in the past six months -- the clear winner is the latest edition: a Cleveland 588 DSG RTG. The DSG is dynamic sole grind which grinds the sole of the club to a smooth rounded edge. This club is a marvelous chipper (perfect weight and feel) in addition to being a lob wedge that is hard to skull.

I've also tried a Mizuno MP-T 60* (Black Nickel) and a Volkey SM. While I like both wedges, I prefer their sandwedge variants to the 60*.

The new Nickent ARC wedges are the biggest and baddest piece of technology to come into wedges ever. They have a feel cartridge that absorbs twisting.. The cartridge is set into the back of the club---the first to ever have this done.. Please get one of these --

seriously though... I've never tried Nickent wedges, though they do make a nice hybrid (3DX). But, it seems that if the OP already has and loves the CG14's then why not get another one of these. I myself prefer Cleveland wedges, with Callaway a close 2nd. As for Snake Eyes, they probably are nice, most of their clubs are, but they don't have enough variations in bounce and loft. Anyway, hit the clubs, get what FEELS and LOOKS best to YOU! I know for me the looks are important, as is the feel/swingweight. for cheap prices try rockbottomgolf or get a slightly older model... CG10 or CG11, etc.

I like how the Snake Eyes wedges look. I really don't want another CG14 those cost too much. I lloked at the Sonartec wedges and they look good but I dont know how they fell. Has anybody hit these?

I would suggest a Cleveland reg 588 wedge.

Here you go...a time proven classic wedge that is on sale at most retailers. I played this wedge for 12 years and I highly recommend it to you.
