I know this has probaly been made before but i was just curious. I normally use titleist balls and i mark an "M" under the T. When i use other balls its a "TM" at the top and bottom of the ball.

I usually don't have to mark them because I have yet to play with anyone else who uses Top Flite D2 Feels. But when my wife and I play, I just put a dot on each side of the word •FEEL•. I also prefer even numbers.

In myBagBoy Revolver: HiBore XL 10.5° ⢠HiBore 3W ⢠Halo 2i, 3i & 4i
MX900 5-PW ⢠MP-R 52-07° & 58-10° ⢠Studio Select Squareback 1

Carl Spackler: This is a hybrid. This is a cross of Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff...

I underline Bridgestone (or whatever brand I'm using) on both sides with a mini thick Sharpie. I carry blue and orange, and I prefer orange. When I hit a provisional - rare, but I want to do the same thing each time - I put a circle over the number on both sides.

Once a ball has been used to the point that it is going in the shag bag, I put my initials on it in orange. I keep some of these in my bag so I can easily do pre-round pitching and chipping practice with balls that resemble the ones I'll be using without cutting the ball I'm about to use. No sense starting the day with a brand new ball that has been hit 20 times with a wedge before the first tee.

Haha thats a good idea!

First of all I change all the ball so that the number are all 1's, yes I change the boxes around.

I use a sharpie and put a color dot under the "1"

I colour in 2 dimples - one green and one orange - with a blank dimple between them.

You get a nice Tri-colour effect (p.s. i'm Irish!).
I do 6 of these usually - one on each "side" of the ball (think of it as a cube)

Why 6? Something to do with Irish history

Does he do a green shamrock freehand or does he have a stencil? Or does his sponsor send him the balls with that pre-printed?

I do the "shamrock" thing too, but I color in three dimples in the shape of a triangle, with a small vertical line underneath (somewhere on the blank side of the ball), so it looks like a three leaf clover or a "club" mark. I also call them "puppy paws".

I put a black dot on each side of the number

    • Maybe not different but more concise and with data to better explain the issue. I think it aids both the instructor and student as it can be interpreted as technical as each person wants.
    • Day 320: worked on putting with the yardstick drill for a while. Checked set up in the mirror as well, and it was pretty solid.
    • Truer words have never been spoken, as I am seeing tonight 😅. I hope my ignorance did not come across as arrogant… Definitely true, however there was also a pro present, albeit not trained in GEARS specifically as would be necessary. I am certainly learning a lot (as I hoped I would). I am not here to challenge the accuracy or significance of any data, as I did find it interesting how it objectively showed my swing. What I am wondering is if an expert teacher trained in GEARS was shown a swing with and without GEARS, would the pro come to a different conclusion using GEARS versus "traditional methods," genuinely curious.
