Hi

I know it can be hard to judge from a picture, but I've been hitting it out towards the heel recently. Any ideas what could be causing it, tried standing slightly closer to the ball, but then I feel like I'm bunched up during the swing.

Ball is still going forward which is nice, but i feel like I'm loosing it a bit to the left and some distance.

(Excuse the mud, was the only thing I could find on the range to see where I was hitting it)

Wouldnt you want to stand slightly further from the ball so the contact would be more towards the center of the club? If you stood closer to the ball that would increase the chance that you would catch it towards the heel.

You can also record your swing on video and post it in the member swing section of the forum!

Let me make a simple suggestion.  Currently you are probably starting your swing with the ball in the middle of the club face or possibly even towards the heel.  Start your swing with the ball near the toe and see what happens on the range.  If it works you are good.  The adjustment is probably only half an inch or so but can make a huge difference

Another simple thing to try:  grip down about one thumbnail and see if you get the same impact location.  That will give you a flatter "effective" lie angle and may (or may not) do the trick.
