Tipped Shafts that shouldn't have been tipped

I bought some nice new shafts for my Hybrids (20* and 23*) and misread the instructions. I tipped them an inch and I should have only tipped them if I was installing them in fairway woods. I also trimmed the butt to fit.
The thing is I hit them great now. I really like the shafts. I have another shaft, and another (18.5*) Hybrid I have been meaning to install that shaft in. Should I treat this shaft the same as the others and tip them, or should I install as recommended? 

 

The shafts are Aldila RIP 85 grams in stiff. The Hybrids are Nickent IW 3DX or something like that.

I believe tipping was the correct procedure.
Aldila indicates non trimming for drivers.
FW woods and Hybrids are considered similar when shaft fitting I believe.

Yeah, according to Aldila, the trimming instructions are to tip them all 1", then butt-cut to the desired length.  It's a little strange, because typically the tips are trimmed in 1/2" increments for fairway woods and hybrids, so my initial reaction would be to tip the 18.5* hybrid 1/2" instead of 1", but the website shows 1" for that one too (trim code F...)

I may be mis-reading, but that chart does not mention hybrids per sei...but I would agree, tip 1/2 inch. (you could always go the additional 1/2 inch in the future if necessary, but if you went with the 1 inch, then obviously no going back other than shaft extender). Tipping vs butt cutting may result in a bit stiffer flex, but depending on the amount, might not be all that discernible.

Hybrids are much heavier than Fairway woods. I tipped the 23* One inch and I hit it terrific. I tipped the 20* One inch and I hit it ok. I left the 18.5* alone and I hit that great as well. I think I may go back and reshaft the 20* and tip it 1/2 inch. I have extra shafts so no big deal.
