I have a massive anterior pelvic tilt or S posture, when I try swing in a balanced position i thin the ball, and i feel like my back is super rounded butt I find it hard to turn Into my left side with my s posture, anyone suffer from this too and is it detrimental to your game? funnily enough when I do the right leg back drill my hips automatically set properly.

also should the abdominals be engaged in the golf swing?

They are, sure, but your feel is going to differ from someone else's. They shouldn't likely be very "tight" or overly "engaged."

Yes it'll make it harder to turn, it locks the hips and can get the weight too much into the heels. Check this out,

They shouldn't be "stretched" at address. Like @iacas said the feel will vary from player to player. For me they feel slightly engaged, lower back/tailbone feels "soft".

Yes.  All this year up until around a month ago I had a serious anterior pelvic tilt and had no idea (based on some fundamental changes I made at the start of the year, and being dumb/ignorant enough to not check it out on video).  I thought I was sticking my rear out just enough and simply maintaining good posture throughout the swing,  And some time in early spring I started having pretty serious pain in my lower (very low) back.  If I crouched, it was very difficult to get out of it.  I felt (and looked to my friends and family) like a very old man.  It got to where I couldn't play (or practice) consecutive days.  And I'm only 41...and in the best shape of my life!  :hmm:

The way I figured it out wasn't video (though if I'd recorded my swing and watched earlier I'd have caught it and saved the pain).  I actually just did lots of searching on the web for very low back pain correlative with golf (including plenty here), and it finally clicked, as I knew I'd been trying extra hard to work on my posture (feeling I'd been slumping, which I probably hadn't).  The first week, it was a hard habit to break, but I worked hard on it.  And now, voila!  I don't feel 91 (instead of 41) anymore.

But you didn't ask about pain, I guess; you asked about the effects on your swing.  Strangely enough, I was playing pretty decent golf with my anterior tilt.  Again, I never saw it on video (only checked my stance in the mirror post-internet-diagnosis to confirm), so it probably wasn't severe...though it was certainly there.  But my distance and striking seemed relatively fine.  When I adjusted to nix it, I struggled some across my game for a couple of weeks.  Now the striking and distance is coming back.  But more than anything, I'm happy that debilitating pain is no more.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "s" posture. I have a rounded upper back in my setup, which forces me to turn my hips fully in the backswing with no resistance. This gives me power and for my height, 5'6", I generate around 107 mph. It looks like slouching, but in reality it's how the spine is built.

Take a look at the spine. There are four major curves in the spine. The coccyx, up to the lumbar spine, curves from inward to outward. The lumbar spine curves inward, towards the centerline. The thoracic spine curves away from the centerline, and the cervical spine goes from the top of the thoracic and curves straight upward, which forms the neck.

The shoulders sit slightly underneath the cervical spine, and the lower shoulder is where the thoracic spin curves slightly forwards. So you'd think that your posture should have a bit of forward when you flex the abdominal muscles to bend to the ball. A relaxed upper spine also increases this so that your arms can get to the ball.

As I said earlier, this should allow for more hip turn, which is anatomically correct for a backswing motion. The straightening of the right leg should happen according to how much hip turn you create, and the left knee should flex outward and the heel comes off the ground an inch (roughly).

So what you're referring to as "s" posture, at least what I think you mean, is correct. Don't change it because that would be harmful to the body.

Here's a diagram:

Compared to what I would consider is good posture, rounded, pelvis "tucked".

Hit all four par threes in one (a first) - parred each; still had a couple 3 putt bogies; and blew up on 3 of the par 5’s (go figure)). The blow ups were some serious tree rattlers - amplifying how I got stupid and greedy instead of smart and content to just get back in the short stuff.
