Day 68: Did the mapping drills from the COVID-19 practice plan. And then hit balls into my net for about 20 minutes. Focusing on better contact, and contact more off the toe vs closer to the hosel.

Day 124 - May 1, 2020

Full swing work again. This is going to be almost everything that I do.

Played nine holes with Nat at WW. No extra birdies for the chart, though.

Day 146

Did swing mapping drill from covid 19 practice plan, and then hit some balls. Set up my tripod and attempted to record some swings but it was too dark and video quality was bad. Finished with superspeed session.

Day 31 - May 2nd

played 36 hoes today...like garbage. Good thing was that those two rounds don’t matter

playing an important round tomorrow though.

Day 69 (nice): Did some mirror work today, working on my priority piece of not shifting off the ball too much. Also did some path work.

Day 147

Did a superspeed workout. Hit some balls with various clubs. Wouldn’t call it practice though as I was just mindlessly whacking. Wanted to see where balls typically impact the net to make sure I don’t launch a 7-iron over the fence. Finished building a platform for my hitting mat which raises the hitting surface about 3 inches off the ground, so recalibration was needed.

Day 125 - May 2, 2020

Full swing work again. This is going to be almost everything that I do.

It's my site, so I do what I want… I went over to a friend's house and had socially distant drinks, and we hit some balls in his simulator as my practice. And got back after midnight, hence the posting the next morning. 🙂

Day 32 - played 18. Lost to my buddy with one stroke. He birdied the last hole so win. Best part was I had an 8 on  a par 3

Day 64 - Worked on partial shots and used the MEVO. Not sure about the data because my net is only 7 feet from the mat. 3/4 shots all seemed longer than expected with my wedges. I really need/want to get to play some real golf.

Day 148

Did some more swing mapping slow speed drill. Then did an experiment hitting balls with midsize vs standard grips and realized my hands feel awful and awkward holding a midsize grip (recently swapped out all my grips for midsize because it’s boring sheltering in place). Swapped them all back tonight.

Day 149

Played 18 today. First golf in 2 months. Really nice to be on the course. Need a lesson ASAP.

Kept score (95), but was trying different feels and swing thoughts on course so not sure how representative this is for the state of my game. Switched between claw and normal putter grips on each putt, and seemed to roll the ball better with a normal grip. Had a lot of time to practice putting between holes once I caught up to the threesome ahead of me, which I used the metronome app/drill for.

Short game COVID-19 drills had some payoffs, with a couple really nice chips and pitches to get up and down. Also had a couple flop shot fails...oh well.

Had some really well played holes, including two (missed) eagle putts after great drives on driveable par-4s. A share of terrible holes too.

Best hole was an 8 on a par-5, with 2 balls O.B. (4 penalty strokes, one off tee, one on approach).
