Day 215 (3 Dec 24) - Another very chilly day - opted to work on easy pitches in the backyard. Worked thru the irons and wedges - focused on foot position and tempo.

Day 139: worked on putting for a while. Did the two cups drill for bead.

Day 323 - Opposite of yesterday, focusing more on taking a full backswing than anything else.

Day 216 (4 Dec 24) - Dink and roll Weds - working on the green side short game covering 5-10 yd chips to low running pitches to about 50 yds (I have accommodating neighbors).  Focused on keeping stance more narrow, eye target about 2” in front of the ball AND not looking up until I see the ball leave.  This drill has really enhanced my confidence in making more consistent ball strikes.

Day 65 - 2024-12-04

Helped @NatalieB with her stuff on the force plates, then hit some balls working on the left wrist stuff. Picking up the club.

Day 1:

After a long practice layoff due to injury, vacation, winter darkness, and work stuff, I'm trying to start back up again.

Today I just hit balls with keys from my lesson 6-ish weeks ago; neutral grip and centered turn. Gonna work with that for a few weeks, see how it goes, and then get a lesson scheduled.

Day 140: did a stack session.

Day 324 - Partial swings working to full swings, focusing on a full finish.

Day 217 (5 Dec 24) - Thurs 9-hole round with my good friend.  Weather is in the upper 50’s. - so the body was a little more limber.  Played the next tees up with the TA 845s Silver Scots (3i-SW) along with TM R580 driver and 5w.  Shot a very solid 39 (3 bogies that should have been pars).  Solid round of better ball striking - man those 845s still have it…

Day 2:

Evacuated work due to Tsunami warning in coastal California, which turned out to be a nothingburger. But silver lining was I worked from home for half a day, and was able to practice in full daylight.

Same work as yesterday; neutral grip, centered turn. Also made effort to get weight more forward with a teensy hip slide-y feel.

Day 141: range session at lunch. Just worked on aligning to my target - feeling like my stance is slightly open (meaning it’s square) and feeling like I’m aimed well left of the target.

Day 325 - Focused on pushing back more with my left leg in the downswing. Small swings at first, working up to full swings.

Putting work in the basement while drafting a theory I wanted to send to Dr. Greg Rose.

Day 218 (6 Dec 24) - 34deg, N-NE wind 5-10mph at 10am- the Friday men’s tee time slot…. just one other guy in the Friday group showed up.  We play anyway and while not the best scoring round by any means, we had a blast.  Good session on course management in less than ideal weather - was hitting a little shorter so it was all about wedge play and adjusting for wind on the greens while putting.

Day 142: mirror work for a bit. Working on the shaft getting steeper in the mid-to-end of the backswing.

Day 326 - Shorter session today, as the hip pain was more bothersome. Mostly spent the time making partial backswings, focusing on a good follow-thru.

Hit balls for eight minutes or so after Junior Elite + lessons. Hinging.
