Day 246 (5 Jan 25) - - Super short game session today - 54° at 10-15 yds max.  Real simple - pick a target landing point near the “pin” and get the ball to release toward the same.  Focused on set up and engaging the club’s bounce - the club performed nicely - a few near dunks, one hop in the hole, and lots of finishes inside a 10’ radius of the pin.

Putting through 50 mm gates. Last night I only hit two gates, and tonight it was just one. Perhaps tomorrow will be my first perfect session from 11” on this size gate.

Day 97 - 2025-01-05

Showed up to something that absolutely floored me, and then was busy right through to 9:00. So, I got 5:00 in at night, at home, before bed. My rib cage hurts from a cough (ha ha, but also, f***), and I think I have a mild ear infection in my right ear.

Things are just f***ing great.

Day 172: mirror work for a while during SNF. Working on cleaning up the early backswing stuff. Definitely seeing the improvements I’m looking for.

Day 247 (6 Jan 25) -  Weather has threatened all day but that's all its done.  Know folks elsewhere are dealing with winter storm stuff.  This made for a session with the hard foam balls (which cut nicely in the wind) - going out "playing with the wind" and coming back "teeth bared into to the wind" with the 7w and 3h (high launch vs low launch).  I know its not the ideal "practice" arena but for me it really helps to understand the need to read the wind, etc.  Another day in my world of "unconventional practice" drills.

Day 27: 1/6/2025

Lots of mirror work again today. Went over photos and videos from my last lesson. Trying to get the movements in my priority piece just right. 
I'm likely going to be doing more mirror work tomorrow too. Which is fine considering the weather. 

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs. 

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

      Record 35 Under Par for First Contest of the Year

      Par is just a guideline, a reference for a hole or a course. At the end of the tournament the player that took less strokes to hole out is the winner, no matter how much it is against the Par of the course.  35 under par is not desirable? then change a few holes par.. make all reachable par 5's as par 4's.  Every hole below 350 is a par 3.. This will make those 7200 courses play "harder" with a par of 66..67.  (Ridiculous, let's just appreciate the amazing game this players have).

      Didn't Mike Souchak (and possibly others as I'm just going by memory, but I'm pretty sure Souchak was first) shoot a 257 years ago?  It wasn't on a par 73, so it wasn't 35 under, but still.

      BTW - The bush was ugly.  Anyway, in an attempt to add some clarity the ball was under some of the branches of the bush. But the bush was shaped in such a way where a left handed player could have played the shot without hitting any of the branches. A right handed player would have no chance. Thus my buddy/opponent I think was "reasonable" in addressing the ball with a flipped over 7 iron as he could have hit it lefty. .... There was, however, no guarantee that he would get good results as I've actually never seen him try to hit a ball in that manor in all the years I've played with him.
