Day 7 (8 Sep 25) - Late afternoon chipping - as the day was full of meetings.  Kept it simple - focused on slight lead toe flare and then keeping eye on the ball thru impact.  Hit about 20 balls all told.  

Ping G400 SFT 10deg  R flex
Ping G410 3w R flex
Ping G400 3h and 4h R flex
Taylormade SLDR 5i thru PW graphite shaft R flex
Cleveland CBX wedges - 50, 54, 58 or 52, 58 (depending on my mood)
Odyssey Versa or White Steel #5

Day 25 9-8

Day 8 (9 Sep 25) - after my weekly nine hole session with the guys, spent time winding down on the green with some chipping with the 50° - varied from two yards off up to 5 yds.  The latter meant the “circle” (a scarred circle on the putting green about 3’ in dia) landing area was about forty to fifty feet away. Day 3: Went to hit range balls but it was closed. Probably for the best as it forced me to work on the short game. Hit a bunch of lag putts and pitch shots at different trajectories.

Day 5 (September 9).  I did the medicine ball drill from my Skillest lesson after feedback from Erik, so hopefully correctly this time (other than that I'm still using a free weight instead of a medicine ball).  I have also been keeping the pipe with me while doing various work and practicing my grip.

Day 26 9-9

"Flow" drill with just club. Used mirror, for the most part just trying to shift pressure and then swing club, less focus on mechanics. Half swings. No ball.

Day 344 - 2025-09-09

Got some good work in this morning in about 20 minutes. Then watched the Apple event, and went back for a lesson and JEP Summer Session.

Day 11: did the yardstick putting drill while watching an episode of the Simpsons. Need the hands higher at address.

Day 6 (September 10).  Skillest lesson's (with the feedback from yesterday) medicine ball drill (with a 20 lb weight instead), along with the grip practice regularly throughout the morning.

Played 15 holes. Birdied a few, including #9, which I can check off on the birdie chart now.

Day 1: 09/10/25

Chipping practice tonight. Made 4 but hit plenty heavy in my 30 minute session. Hit 3 balls to each hole and rotated amongst 4 holes. The heavy chips were frustrating!

Day 9 (10 Sep 25) - Worked with 7i on alignment using the practice ball box to serve as an alignment aid.  Love the confidence required to come thru and not hit the box.  Part two was focused on purposed strikes to the heel-middle-toe of the club.

      Question About UK vs. U.S. Course Etiquette

      The term I hear most often is "double teeing" which means the course/club has starting times from both the #1 and #10 tee.  I have encountered this many times and we know if we are the first group off #10, we may well get to #1 and have to wait because there are groups still with tee times yet to tee of #1.  In most instances, where the course/club has a starter, he normally explains this situation.  In this case, the pro advised what you would could/would encounter making the turn to #1.  And, that is exactly what happened.  Probably would have been wise to talk to the pro after playing back 9 and ask when you could go off #1 since apparently that club does not double tee.   Regardless, the outburst towards the other group was uncalled for.  And, I don't blame the member for being upset.  As a member of a private club, you are responsible for the actions of your guest.  I have played many times as a guest in the UK and I am pretty damn sure my host was responsible for my actions while at the club.  I know at the clubs I have belonged to here in the US, that is the way it is.  As a matter of fact, the member may find himself being brought before management and facing possible suspension.  So, I don't blame him for being upset.  However, as the host, he really should have stepped up and put a stop to the OP's actions.  JMHO

      Day 44 (26 Dec 25)  -  played in the Friday men’s shootout with a twist - used the Toney Penna persimmons and MacGregor blades - had a blast playing these clubs.  They really help in zoning in on making solid ball contact.  Scoring was solid - had several looks at birdie and had a few par saves.  Overall a day of focused course management.

      Day 136 12-26 Had a different practice planned today but life happened. Worked on "wide to wide" and still working on remaining flowy. Starting the club head in front of the ball as a drill, is helping with the flow of the swing.
