Day 270 5-30

Lower arm more infront, not so stuck to side. Getting chest through with some speed.

Day 26, May 30.  24 practice balls today;  dozen with the 6-iron, slow and usual full swing.   Because I wasn't super happy with my quarter and half swings yesterday, I also hit six of each with my UW.  What I didn't practice was a high shot that doesn't travel very far (no, I don't mean popping up a drive), and maybe that's something I need to figure out how to hit (probably would be outdoors, not inside).  Today's practice was, as many of mine are, indoors, off a mat, into a net, real balls.

Day 606 - 2026-05-30

Hit some foam balls. Hip feeling better. Was rough the day before.

Day 64: quick practice session in preparation for a tournament tomorrow. Long game work for about 30 minutes, mostly seeing where the ball is going. Then worked on putts inside 10 feet to close out the session.

Day 27, May 31.  Earlier today, I hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron, plus a half dozen half-U and half dozen quarter-U;  all of this was with the usual practice routine.

Day 65: played 18. +8, 79. 2 bad drives hurt me bad. A few loose shots besides that, but did fight back with back to back birdies on the back. Not my best, but still pleased with it.

Day 1 (01 Jun 26) - took a couple days off from posting (even though I did in get some work the past couple days). Opted to restart today with 18 holes with a couple of club members….tried a different ball, great off the tee and good on the approaches.  Really struggled with the feel of the ball off the putter face - paid dearly. Also had one of the partners tell me he noticed me lifting my head out at the end of the putting stroke (homework)….

    • I'm growing ever and ever more weary of how much the car matters over the drivers. I want to root for people, not machines. It's getting… blah. (It's always been this way, from what I gather, or at least a lot so the last 20+ years, but still… I'm seeing more and more HOW strongly correlated it is to the car and not the driver. It's like the driver matters about 5%.)
    • Really good career for an unknown guy, kinda. Out of the Pancake Zone. Very low odds to win a major, though could win a Players perhaps.
    • Been awhile since we had good regulations drama, I'm curious to see whether they can get the 4/6 engine manufacturer's behind the proposed changes for next year. Audi + Cadillac both seem unlikely to be terribly interested since they're brand new and spent years prepping for the current 50/50 (Audi debuting with theirs, Caddy scheduled for 2029) but the surprising part to me is Mercedes rumored to be one of the biggest supporters despite their current large engine advantage. Makes me wonder if they think the ICE portion of their car has a lot more potential in the tank compared to other competitors and their electrical deployment isn't quite as polished as has been theorized so far.
    • Wow, birdied 16, 17, and 18.  And then won the playoff. Pretty nifty finish.
