Broadie - Top players are younger than ever

It's pretty obvious without looking at the stats, but to be sure, stats back it up. Will be interesting to see the longevity of these younger players, how their bodies hold up, how long before they get tired of the grind and bow out. Take Sergio Garcia though, guy turned pro around 19? He's been at it almost 20 years.

Players these days might join the PGA Tour at age 25, but those doing so already have 15-20 years of playing - and winning - high-level championship golf. They aren't like the players even from 10 years ago, let alone 20 or 30. They're dedicated to golf and have far more opportunities nowadays at a much earlier age.

Yeah, getting younger for sure, and the fact that they put their ages in tenths of a year probably indicate a potential further youthful trend.

Seriously though, training kids is being taken more seriously now so it's not that surprising.
