most bizarre or funny shot you have hit (or seen)

don't know if there is a similar post. for me, i was actually within reach on a par 5 on my third shot. tried to punch a 6 iron from about 160. it hit the 150 pole dead on, and knocked it over. that or my dad almost hitting his forehead after tc chening a flop shot. he pulled an Aquaman.

I watched my mom top a ball so bad with a 9 iron that it actually went backwards about 4 feet.

I was about 170 yards from the flag. I took a 6I, put a nice swing on it and proceeded to sail the green and hit some trees. I figured the ball was lost, was ready to take a drop and penalty. Walk over to where I thought the ball was and my buddy asks "You're playing a Precept, right?" I said yes and that it had my initials. He tells me to look on the green and there it is. About 12 feet from the cup. I just laughed and thanked the tree for the nice kick. Sometimes, the golf gods are most awesome.

Hit a hard low punch shot under some trees. The ball hit a low hanging branch maybe 10 yards in front of me and came flying back at my head. I dropped to the ground as it grazed my hair, laughing hysterically.

I hit a shot on a Par 3 about 40 yards to the right of the hole and way short. It hit a rocky area and bounced hard left, hit the green, and started rolling toward the hole. It wound up hitting the pin and stopped about six inches from the hole.

That is the closest I've come to a hole-in-one, but I think I would have hated it if it had gone in. Tough to claim skill on one like that!

Saw a guy on the tee with a driver swing and hit the ball with the heal of his driver and the ball fly between his legs and hit his buddy in the shin and he fell to the ground in pain.Well I fell to the ground laughing and allmost had to fight my way home.

My buddy was having some issues with his swing. (he had the shanks) So he took a lesson. The pro told him his wrists weren't rotating and coming through the ball. Well he had him turn with his back twards the fairway and swing at the ball. This was the funniest thing i've ever seen and scary to watch. but it worked and he hit the ball on a rope.

This guy was 190yds out on a par 5 after his drive. But, it was all carry over the water. He took a big swing with his hybrid, but it came out low and I immediately called for it to skip. Skip it did, bounced up on to the fairway right of the green, gently turned left and ended up 20ft for eagle.

Oh yeah, I bounced one off a cart path way right of the green and made birdie and picked up a couple of skins. It drove the guys I was playing with crazy.

Its hard to remember the details because it was two years ago but right when I started golfing I hit a 3 wood into a tree and saw something fall from the tree immediately after. My friends and I walked over to where my ball was and sure enough a squirrel was twitching a few feet from my ball. One of its eyes was protruded out of its skull. It was sad and we weren't sure if we should have put it out of its misery or not. Bizzare not funny, kind of an animal lover.

I was about 30 yds to the pin, steep uphill lie and in a hazard (my previous shot cleared a creek but rolled back and stopped before getting wet). I swung the 60*, too strong I first thought, and the ball literally flew straight into the hole. Easy bird!

Was playing with a friend. On the tee of a par 4 and he thinned the ball, it hit the ladies tee marker and flew behind us into the woods. Lost ball! Everyone except him was on the floor laughing!

Try this .... I'm standing waiting for my playing partner to play, lake 10 yrds to the left of my ball, proud of my strategic placement. My partner proceeds to hit his ball off the fairway with a 3 wood, duck hooks it, it pings off my ball, which in turn ends up with the fishes. Not sure what the rule was there but I took a freebie. And literally on the next hole the same man hits a shot OOB but it bounces of a rock back into play.

Par 3, 165 yards with a lake between the tee and the green.
Hit it thin, and it bounced 3 times over the water, surpassing the lake and reaching the green to 5 yards from the pin... Nice shot!!!

A friend/member from my course would win this hands down if it were a contest, and I haven't even looked at anyone else's posts, still I know it to be true.

"The Grip" as we called him, hit his 2nd shot on our dogleg left par 4 16th. At the corner of this dogleg is a painted, sheet metal sign attached to a tree that gives the yardage to the green. His shot impaled on the metal sign, as it hit the profile side of it. Just unbelievable! Can I get a ruling here...

I believe our pro/club submitted a picture to some golf magazine for publish, though I never saw the magazine piece.

I drilled a 3-wood into a tree 30 feet in front of me and it stuck in the V of the tree about 20 feet up. I took an unplayable.

I also saw someone hit a ball straight right off the tee into another friend standing next to me... no one was hurt too bad so it was pretty funny. We stood behind him the rest of the year.

On the 17th at Los Serranos, a par 3, 159yds, very elevated tee, I hit a 9I perfect. Grazed the pin, hit 6 feet behind the hole and backspun only to lip out of the cup and leave me with a 4 foot birdie putt which I missed. Got a par.

i saw a buddy top a 3 wood so badly that he drove the ball straight down into the turf. the ball was flush with the grass. :D
