Australia's finest spin bowler, who then commentated on cricket for what felt like the next 150 years.

Bit of a legend, all things considered.

Edit: good golfer, too. I watched him and Norman in a pro-am at Gleaneagles around 1985, when I was a kid.

Richie Benaud was a great Australian cricket player and captain who had a superb and perhaps unmatched career as a commentator in retirement. He was much loved and had a funny way of pronouncing certain sounds that made him the target of much light-hearted fun.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.
