I've been getting my MBP ready for upgrading from High Sierra to Mojave. Looked through System Information > Software > Applications, and found the 32-bit apps.  I've deleted or upgraded them as needed, except for three stragglers (all from Apple):

DVD player: My understanding is that Mojave will come with a new 64-bit DVD player  (not that I need it very often). Correct?

InkServer: Not sure how this is used or if I can just delete it, or if it will be updated by Apple with Mojave.  Tried googling it, and not sure I found much helpful information.  Delete now? Upgrade and see if it's still there, then ignore or delete?

quicklookd32: Same as InkServer.

What are you guys doing with these three?

32-bit apps still launch in Mojave.

They pushed that back to 10.15, I think.

Thanks.  I had heard that some were having problems (in addition to game golf uploader), so I was trying to get rid of them, if possible, prior to upgrading.

I upgraded to Mojave, and the 32-bit DVD player is gone, replaced by the 64-bit version.  The other two are still there.  I expect that if they're accessed by something, I'll get a warning window telling me that they're not optimized for Mojave and need to be updated or replaced.

I upgraded to Mojave on launch day, but your post made me want to look at DVD Player because I couldn't remember the last time I opened it.

Has it lived in at ~/System/Library/CoreServices/Applications/DVD Player.app and not the Applications folder for a while, or is that new?

Just checked my non-64 bit apps as well. All of the old Pages '09 apps (I keep them installed because I love Pages' full screen mode and Pages also has a surprisingly good screenwriting template, though I'm trying to launch it now and it beachballs), a few games from the Mac App Store (SimCity 4, the more recent SimCity, CoD 4), Audacity, MyHarmony (the application for setting up Logitech universal remotes), SLLauncher for Microsoft Silverlight, InkServer, quicklook32.

Not sure about where it was located previously. The only time I would have used it was when plugging in the Apple external drive, so I'm guessing that it autostarted without my having to look up the app.

    • I would say your back nine is the second nine you play that day. It's part of what makes getting some of those holes tougher. Or, if 18 holes are played pretty often, out of A, B, and C, and you often play A and C, A is the front and C is the back, regardless of the order you play them in. That way not birdieing C #7 isn't overcome by birdieing the easier A #7 on a day you played it C-A instead of A-C. But, at the end of the day, nobody really cares except yourself.
    • Day 128: played 9. Nice little even 9, with 2 birdies and 2 bogeys.
