I actually have two to share:

1) PGA (Posture, Grip & Alignment). I think about this everytime my swing goes south...this was a simple teaching philiosophy of a golf instructor I had once who said "If you have good PGA all you have to do is swing the club"

2) When practicing chipping, address the ball, then pull your right foot back and up on your toe. This ensures your weight will stay on your left side and you will be amazed at how crisp your contact becomes..after practicing for a while put both feet back at address and you will hit your chips very solid...I actually do this on the golf course for my first couple of chips to get this feeling going for the rest of the day...

TEE - XCG6, 13º, Matrix Ozik HD6.1, stiff
Wilson Staff - Ci11, 3-SW, TX Fligthed, stiff

Odyssey - Metal X #7, 35in

I'll share the one thing I would tell someone, as a compilation of lots of different pieces of advice as well as "realizations."

Right before you swing, realize that most everything is set in stone. You can't change your alignment mid-swing, the club and ball position you've selected almost entirely determine the distance and trajectory the ball will travel. What else is there? Well, there is one thing: You have to trust all those things. If you do, the physical swing itself becomes much simpler, relaxed and precise.

I think this is most appropriate for putting. If you don't trust the line you've picked and the alignment you have over the ball, you can't possibly make a good stroke. Conversely, when you trust that line and feel like you're aimed right at it, it's liberating to be able to make a confident stroke and just let that trust play itself out....by slamming it in the hole.

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

Don't take advice from your buddies, only from people good enough you are willing to pay them.

1. If you don't take time to align yourself properly, only bad shots go where you want.

2. You can't change the last shot, so forget about it already...

"Do you play tennis?" "You should consider it."

On thing that helped me about 5-6 years ago was one of the 1 page tips in Golf Magazine. It was called Stand To The Handle. It was about ball position and the position of your club. Basically it was saying that on any iron shot the but of the club should point at your belt buckle. It was good timing for me because I was having set up problems at the time.

    • A list with both Airborne and Goonies.......   I think a list of 5 is very difficult Shawshank is definitely on the list Boogie Nights (This is a great film, but Really tough to omit PT Andersons other work . so I would need to include Magnolia and There Will Be Blood. And if we are being honest Daniel Day Lewis had a hell of a performance in There Will Be Blood. Actually if you watch There Will Be Blood and then Phantom Thread, you get to see DDL perform at 2 very different characters at opposite ends of the spectrum) No Country for Old Men Godfather (GodFather 2 may be the better film) Good Fellas (I might argue that Casino deserves as much love as Good Fellas, it is simply a great gangster film) Usual Suspects Saving Private Ryan (but Spielberg has made so many great movies) L.A. Confidential Almost Famous (This is one of my personal Favorite films, ever!) Modern Times (an almost perfect silent film made as the talkies were taking over)

    • Also, Scottie seems to have been unaware that he was actually a full-on police officer, as he had the bright yellow reflective jacket on. He seems to have confused them with a volunteer type "traffic marshal" or something. I may not be wording that well, but I'm basically saying… he might not have recognized he was a full-on police officer. It was dark, early, and confusing.
