I’ve never bought it. I’m way ahead.

Which MBP are you using?

I suck.

I totally stink.

I restored from Time Machine and the keys stopped working again. When I was restoring I was thinking, please don't come back, problem. SMH.

So I tried logging into another account and the keys worked. A-ha. That means it was my account only.

Then I Googled "OS X keyboard works keys don't" and found a thread that FIXED MY PROBLEM. Mouse keys was on. Once I turned it off, the "broken" keys worked.

It was a software setting all along. My bias regarding the butterfly key design debacle totally clouded my judgement. I was quick to point my finger at Apple when I should have tried harder to solve the problem myself. I'm a little disappointed in the Genius Bar as well. I specifically wrote all the exact keys that didn't work, that should have clued in a support person who was familiar with the accessibility options.

So all this headache yielded me loss of my MBP for 5 days but a new keyboard and battery. While I really like the new keyboard, I used my get out of jail free card so when a real keyboard problem comes along, I've got to foot the bill. To be honest, I'd rather have found the problem myself. Too late now. OTOH, I treated the machine with care that I never had any keyboard problems and with the new keyboard, should be even less of a chance of a problem if I continue to be careful with dust and all that.

I always thought it was odd that it that the keys that didn't work were all clumped together - again, the keys that didn't work: [ 789 UIO JKL NM, ] - they're like directional keys for games or whatever. That was always in the back of my mind. I panicked and didn't think clearly and that's on me.

Oh, now I remember. I was using an external keyboard and enabled mouse keys because I was experimenting with something on a browser. Because my external keyboard had a number pad, this problem didn't manifest itself on the MBP keyboard. God, I'm stupido.

Apple’s third-generation butterfly keyboard was supposed to fix all the previous defects but buyers are still having problems

    • However, have you ever considered using small summer houses for such setups? They offer a great solution for creating dedicated practice areas, especially for an affluent audience looking to enhance their outdoor living space.
    • I've played Bali Hai, Bear's Best and Painted Desert. I enjoyed Bali Hai the most--course was in great shape, friendly staff and got paired in a great group. Bear's Best greens were very fast, didn't hold the ball well (I normally have enough spin to stop the ball after 1-2 hops).  The sand was different on many holes. Some were even dark sand (recreation of holes from Hawaii). Unfortunately I was single and paired with a local "member" who only played the front 9.  We were stuck behind a slow 4-some who wouldn't let me through even when the local left. Painted Desert was decent, just a bit far from the Strip where we were staying.
