I doubt he resigned. What good coach would quit his student? This is just PR stuff that Tiger probably wanted him to say so he has to say little when the reporters ask about Haney. He can simply say "Haney resigned".

I dont think the players "feared" him. Sure Tiger was statistically impressive in the majors when leading after 54 holes, but he was beat more than he won so obviously players were not that scared of him. Its golf, not the UFC. Once he gets his head back and swing he will be fine. Its really funny to hear everyone think that Tiger is done because of all this.

My first was a Caliente. It was a mallet style putter and I purchased it when I was like 13 or 14. I really wanted a scotty at that time and thats all I could muster up for a putter.

Bomb it over their heads on a par 4 I have had this happen before where a group either doesn't see me or doesn't know the etiquette. If this happens, I call the pro shop and let them know and see if they can send a marshal out to either speed play or tell them to let me through. I think it makes more sense for these people in the future if the golf course tells them rather than a player.

I had to resurrect this thread. I watched Tin Cup and what a horrible movie IMO. It was on the other night and the wife and I both wanted to switch the channel.

To me, its not worth it, but I would pay that much to play it. I know its a screw, but like the saying goes..you have to pay to play.
